Merry Christmas!

I honestly can't even express how much I love Christmas!  The snow.  The songs.  The GLITTER!  The sharing and giving.  The decorations.  All of it!  But honestly, what I love most is that it really is the time of year that we can choose to focus on the birth of our Savior.  May this Christmas bring you and yours health and happiness.  Remember to count all of your blessings... I know that sometimes they are hard to see. grinch Christmas quote

Nick and Naomi

Naomi is Bryan's youngest sister.  (Bryan's the oldest of 8!!)  I've known her since she was teeny tiny and have loved watching her grow up.  And I gotta say, she chose a good one.  Nick seems amazing.  He seems driven and kind.  He's funny and, most of all, puts up with this cute baby of the family.  ;)  I can't wait to get to know him better over the next forever and I'm super excited for my kids to have another uncle!  Congratulations, you two!  I have no doubt that the wedding will be far past perfect! Nick

Nick is a super-jock.  He plays basketball and baseball at his high school.  I thought Tara and I were going to have to fight a little to get him out of his shell.  I was wrong.  He was such a trooper from the beginning of the shoot.  Plus, towards the end of his session when I asked him "Are you so done with this?" his response was, "Nah.  It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be."  Haha!  I'll take that as a win! senior pictures done at local penny arcade

Miss Maren

At Maren's shoot we had awesome weather.  The light was beautiful.  There was no rain (which was a struggle ALL season!).  But the mosquitos.... oh the mosquitos!  They were out by the thousands and they thought we were all so tasty!  We actually had to leave part of the location to avoid being completely devoured.  I may or may not have had to edit out a few bugs. I love the shoes (of course) but I also love that this Hawaiian inspired outfit is completely different than anything else Maren wore.

Jake

Jake was really fun to take pictures of!  We had his own location in mind.  (LOVE that!)  It was a location that I couldn't have gotten my hands on without him which made it even better!  He recently completed his training to be a pilot and totally nailed his test!  Congratulations, Jake!  And thanks for taking us to Peak Aviation!  They were MORE than accommodating!  (And now my girls think they can fly a plane thanks to our location hunting pre-shoot!) teen boy leans against airplane on tarmac

Miss Amanda

This girl was a trooper!  We were suppose to have manageable weather... I mean, not stellar, but not raining on us.  That worked for about the first 2/3 of the shoot.... then...?  Well, then is POURED on us.  We got all of her outfits in and even headed over to a soccer field for some soccer pictures.  Overall it was a complete success!  I love it when clients just go with it!  I love it even more when the weather cooperates with us, though! ;)

Rebecca {Oregon Stunning Senior}

I've known Rebecca for the last 5 years.  When I met her she was in middle school... with braces... and she was beautiful even then.  Last summer her family moved to Salem, Oregon.  I was really bummed to lose good neighbors AND a good babysitter.  I was absolutely thrilled (and beyond flattered) when her mom contacted me wanting to fly in to do her senior pictures.   THANK HEAVENS we had good weather for her shoot!  You never know with this crazy summer we've been having!! high school girl poses with her horse for her senior pictures

Rachel

Rachel makes me think of what my Addilyn will look like when she's all grown up.  Stunning with dark curls, light skin, and very very VERY blue eyes.  I couldn't get over her eyes.  Honest planet:  I didn't touch her eyes.  They really are THAT blue.  Gorgeous, right? We were worried about rain at her shoot (because this summer is the "Summer from Seattle" in my books... rain nearly daily) but the weather held out and the pictures turned out just beautiful.

Meet Kate

Kate is so darling and laid back.  I met her through one of my other sweet seniors, Abigail.  They've been best friends for years.  Kate's shoot started out rough with lots of rain.  We sat in the car and got to know each other while we waited out the rain, decided to head to a location about 5 minutes away, and found clearer skies there.  Her pictures turned out completely beautiful and I'm thankful she stuck it out and was flexible with the location. Hannah and Jon

These two... we had to reschedule their shoot twice because of weather and then on the day of the shoot we had a bit of a make-up mishap.  It was quite the ordeal getting their pictures taken.  Good thing they have a few years before they get married! :) They have been together for five years, since they were sophomores in high school.  They have the cutest love story!  Thank you so much for choosing me for your engagement pictures!

Sweet Emily

Emily kind of got roped into this shoot. It started as her sister’s College Senior Pictures. Then we decided, “Why not get a picture of Katie and Emily together?” That quickly morphed into “Why not split the shoot in ½ and get pictures of each sister and some of them together. The shoot was full of laughing, sunshine, and a little wine shared between sisters. Hair: Sara Munson

Katie & Emily

These two sisters are so so fun! They are complete opposites. Katie is outgoing and in the spotlight. She loves all things Hollywood and Broadway. Emily is  Wallstreet, reserved and business minded. To say you could see their personalities come through in pictures is a horrible understatement. Thank you for the memorable evening, girls!  Can't wait to post their individual images in the next few weeks. Hair: Sara Munson
