Senior Boys

ethan b

I have known Ethan since he was 9 years old. They lived across the street from us for years, I did his older brother’s pictures a few years ago, and their youngest and my oldest are super good buds. It’s been so fun watching him grow up…. but I nearly crashed my car the first time I saw him behind the wheel… where does the time go?!? Ethan, thank you for putting up with me all morning. It was nothing short of amazing!

trace

I’ve known Trace for years. And last year I did his older brother’s senior pictures. AND his mom is a super close friend of mine. AND she’s my videographer! I adore this family! I loved spending the morning with Trace… who didn’t need even 5 seconds to relax in front of the camera. Every single picture I got of him was a natural smile. Trace, you’re adorable! Thanks for hanging out with me for the morning!!

cameron

A few years ago I took Cameron’s older sister’s pictures. This was back when he was shorter than her and didn’t have a jaw line that would cut through ice. ;) I love that he brought his dog, Koda, to the shoot. We got some cute pictures with him and I think taking the spotlight off this quiet but amazing senior was probably exactly what he wanted. Cameron, thank you for putting up with me! I had a great time.

Doing Easton’s senior pictures was really fun. It was a long time coming and something I have been talking to his mom (and my best friend!) about for years. I honestly can’t believe he is old enough to be a senior. Where has the time gone? Just to make things more interesting, Easton went skateboarding the night before his shoot and totally chipped his tooth… his FRONT tooth. ha! I photoshopped that sucker and he went and got it fixed from his awesome dad later that day. :)

hunter's mission pictures

I took Hunter’s senior pictures last summer. We went urban and they turned out awesome. He is now prepping to head off to Argentina and teach the people there about Christ for the next two years. I couldn’t be more proud of him! Seems like a good thing to take pictures for, right?? He chose an amazing location with beautiful views. We even got some impromptu hiking in. Loved every moment!

ryden

Every now and then I will do something even MORE custom than I typically do. You just have to ask me really nicely. ;) For this shoot we headed up to the mountains and while my cute family snowboarded the day away Ryden, his mama, and myself went in search of the perfect locations for his snow shoot. And we definitely found them.

I can’t believe Ryden is graduating in a little less than two months!! Seems like a few months ago that I was taking pictures of him and his adorable sister. He has grown into such a cool guy with a very bright future. He’s so polite, so sweet, so funny, and suuuuuuper in love with being outside. I can’t wait to see what his future holds! (Aside from lakes, ski slopes, sand dunes, and all kinds of fun adventures!)

hunter

I’ve knowns Hunter’s parents for years. We have even vacationed together (take me back to the beautiful beaches of Mexico!!). But I haven’t ever spent time with Hunter until his senior session. At first he was simply putting up with us mamas. But by the end of the session he was excited for the ordering session and super excited to see and pick out all of his images. I call that a serious win!!

luke

Luke and I have a long history.  It started with his mom being Carter and Addi's kindergarten teacher.  We absolutely LOVED having her spend so much time with our children.  She was even Carter's teacher when he was diagnosed with cancer and came over on her off time to tutor him and make sure he didn't fall behind while not going to school.  Fast forward a handful of years and I took his sister's senior pictures... and totally fell in love with her!  Being amazing definitely runs in this family.  Luke was a dream to photography and I honestly couldn't have asked for better locations!  The only problem was me trying to get pictures of him serving the ball.  For real, guys, I was STRUGGLING!!  haha!!

cole

To say this cute boy is a crack up and goof ball is an understatement.  He is a BLAST!  He is, hands down, one of the happiest humans I have ever met.  And he plays the guitar amazingly.  (Look out ladies!)  One day, hopefully lots of years from now, he will make some girl very very happy and keep her laughing for the rest of their lives!

videography

One of my favorite parts of your Senior Session is undoubtedly the videography.  My videographer, Tara, is an artist by education so she has a natural eye.  She is super talented and just an overall amazing person.

My senior's videos consist of the still images that I take, video footage that Tara captures, and some voice-overs from my darling senior.  We put all of that to a fabulous and fitting song to make a show-stopping video for my client and his/her parents to view at their Premier Ordering Session.

This year things will be a little different.  Tara is actually doing an art show in the fall so unfortunately so will only be doing videos over the summer.  All of my seniors that schedule a photoshoot with me once schools starts won't have the option to have video.  It's worth it to think ahead and get your session planned for a beautiful summer morning.

jay

That moment when you're standing there taking someone's senior pictures and you have a flashback to when you use to change their diapers... and it feels like yesterday!  haha!  Jay is the son of my super sweet cousin.  I also grew up with his Dad's younger brother.  We were great friends all through high school.  Doing his older sister's senior pictures last year was the icing on the cake.  Jay was lucky enough to head back to Parker to finish up high school with all of his old friends.  It's been so fun to watch him grow up. He's a lot taller than me and has a big deep voice.  When did he get so old?!  When did I get so old?!?!?!?
