High School Seniors

allison

I have gotten to know Allison the last several years through the Pine Creek Cheer shoots.  She is am amazing cheerleader but I am super happy for her that she decided to just take it easy and enjoy her senior year sans cheer.  (But sad for the cheer team!) Allison is amazing and sweet and loves playing with kiddos.  If the future of America is going to fall into anyone's hands, it should be hers!!  (Speaking of America, her super cool brother, Jake, is protecting our country by serving in the Marines now!  So so so proud of him!)

victoria

Victoria is so sweet. She is a quite soul who loves to laugh, spend time with her family, and play tennis.  I loved my time with her and her darling little brother and sweet mama.  Her brother spent the entire shoot catching grasshoppers.  He knows the names of the different kinds.  He loves them.  He touches them!  His mom is a saint for letting them come into her home!!

sarah lane {studio twelve} senior workshop

I have been lucky enough to learn from a LOT of amazing photographers like Heidi Hope, Jean Smith, Spanki Mills, Courtney Dailey, Leah Remillet, andΒ Kelli France. This workshop with Sarah Lane (owner of Studio Twelve) was nothing less than wonderful. It was enlightening and reassuring to know that I am doing what I love. She walked me through some things I struggle with and we ended the day with a shoot with 6 Napa Valley high school seniors from her Class of 2016 Model Team.

brian

Brian's shoot.  Oh my gosh.   The weather that morning was super heart eyes.  Brian was a trooper and changed his clothes several times.  It was sweet watching he and Robyn (his darling mama) interact.  They obviously get along and she has a lot of respect for him.  Plus, we got to see a BEAR!!!  That's right!  A not super small black bear was running (parallel to us, thank goodness) about 150 yards away.  It was a great distance.  Pretty sure I would have scaled the nearest tree only to discover that the bear too, could scale said tree, if it had headed our way.  That's the first time I have ever seen a bear outside of captivity.  So exciting!!

A big thank you to this guy for referring Brian over to me.  Thank you, Zach!

leah {class of 2018}

Leah was my first senior for the Class of 2018.  Her shoot was so fun! I love it when my girls want to go urban because it only happens about 10% of the time.  I also love it when I get to take pictures of a past client's sister.  Leah was fun and happy.  She was up for anything and we even finished her session at the same place we finished Sophie's!  Loved spending time with this fun-loving family again!!

taylor

Taylor's shoot was urban and nature. Β We finished her super cute city looks and as we were walking back to the car the rain came in full force. Β It was crazy! Β It poured the entire way to our next location and as we got there, the rain stopped and the sun came out! Β It was perfect timing! Β Did I mention that Taylor has been accepted to college?! Β What a smarty! So proud of this girl!

Kianna

Kianna's session turned out beautiful. Β I could see the stress in her face as the rain was pouring down around us. Β BUT, I build in time for rain because good old Colorado Springs is full of surprises! Β We found the most amazing little field with flowers and the most beautiful soft light. Β It was perfect! Β I can't thank Kianna enough for rolling with the punches. We found the coolest little boutique for a portion of Kianna's shoot.

Look at this amazing sun light! So beautiful!!

Cheyanne

Cheyanne is just the cutest thing! Β She has the most beautiful green eyes that I loved photographing. Β She has such a kind soul. Β I absolutely LOVED her session and getting to know her mom, her second mom, and her sister! Β And, for the record, I've never had a senior get so many cat calls in my life! Β It was hilarious/awesome/disturbing. Ha! We found the cutest lemonade stand in Manitou!

Carey

Carey's shoot was amazing. Β The location was hand picked by her. Β She was raised riding horses so we headed out to Beyond the Arena for her session. Β It. Was Stunning. Β I could do every session out there! Β I can't thank Devon enough for allowing us to come out and enjoy Playboy (the horse... get your mind out of the gutter!) and her beautiful property! Austin

I have known Austin since he was probably 12 years old. Β Now he's all grown up, (MUCH) taller than me, sweet, and just a little bit shy. Β I'm sure there is more than a handful of girls who are crushing on him. Β I had a lot of fun taking his pictures and he was a really good sport for putting up with his mama (who is a fab design blogger), Tara (my amazing videographer), and myself. Austin was for sure more of a "smolder" kind of guy but I got a few real smilies out of him.

This location was such a treat. Big, beautiful trees, fallen trees to sit on, Red Rocks in the background... It was perfect for him.

Class of 2016 Senior Spokesmodels

Before I get too caught up in my Class of 2017 Senior Season (which is completely sold out! woot!) I need to express my love and thanks to my Class of 2016 Senior Spokesmodels. Β They are beautiful, sweet, fun, silly, kind, and goofy. Β They make me feel young and loved. Β They appreciate their pictures and they appreciate each other. Β I wish I could just freeze time and not have them grow up quite yet. Β Girls, thank you for an amazing year. Β Thank you for being supportive of each other and of me and my business. Β I love each of you individually and absolutely would not have enjoyed this year nearly as much without you. Β Don't forget me and don't grow up quite yet! a forest photoshoot shows off chairs, a coffee table, candles, cake, and more

We finished off our shoot with smores and a darling camping theme, again, put together by The House of Silver Lining.

Cheer {5th Annual Shoot!}

This year marked our 5th annual varsity cheer shoot for Pine Creek High School. Β Each year we give the girls some creative control (with guidance, of course.) Β This year we went with a "Spring Shower" theme. Β The girls all looked so darling in their rain boots and the umbrellas just added to the mood. Β I loved it and the rain even held off for us... although we were dressed to handle it! ;)

Mallory, the "Nice Cheerleader"

Mallory is incredibly sweet, a little bit quiet, and a lot bit smart. Β She's know for being the "nice cheerleader" which is such a compliment! Β (Although I must say, every single cheerleader I have ever photographed has been very, very sweet to me.) Β I loved taking pictures of her, playing with her doggies, and getting to know her amazingly darlingΒ family. So Americana!

I love the idea Mallory had of taking that darling picture with her puppy. She was so creative with her shoot!
