No, but really. She was Miss Washington. I was lucky enough to learn from (and become friends with!) the uber talented Spanki Mills while I was in Seattle for the Chic Retreat a while back. She had this beautiful model for us to shoot. It wasn't until later that I saw her business card and realized that she is currently serving as Miss Washington. She was humble, cooperative, and so super sweet.
Cheyanne
Cheyanne is just the cutest thing! She has the most beautiful green eyes that I loved photographing. She has such a kind soul. I absolutely LOVED her session and getting to know her mom, her second mom, and her sister! And, for the record, I've never had a senior get so many cat calls in my life! It was hilarious/awesome/disturbing. Ha!
Carey
Carey's shoot was amazing. The location was hand picked by her. She was raised riding horses so we headed out to Beyond the Arena for her session. It. Was Stunning. I could do every session out there! I can't thank Devon enough for allowing us to come out and enjoy Playboy (the horse... get your mind out of the gutter!) and her beautiful property!
Austin
I have known Austin since he was probably 12 years old. Now he's all grown up, (MUCH) taller than me, sweet, and just a little bit shy. I'm sure there is more than a handful of girls who are crushing on him. I had a lot of fun taking his pictures and he was a really good sport for putting up with his mama (who is a fab design blogger), Tara (my amazing videographer), and myself.
Liz
I absolutely adore Liz and her mom. They're hilarious! (I like funny people.) Liz is a spot girl... and has the legs to show it, not only with how toned they are but also with the scars! Yikes! She also happens to own one of the prettiest prom gowns in existence! I kinda wanted to steal it... but I fought the urge. I honestly can't even express how much I love Christmas! The snow. The songs. The GLITTER! The sharing and giving. The decorations. All of it! But honestly, what I love most is that it really is the time of year that we can choose to focus on the birth of our Savior. May this Christmas bring you and yours health and happiness. Remember to count all of your blessings... I know that sometimes they are hard to see.
Nick and Naomi
Naomi is Bryan's youngest sister. (Bryan's the oldest of 8!!) I've known her since she was teeny tiny and have loved watching her grow up. And I gotta say, she chose a good one. Nick seems amazing. He seems driven and kind. He's funny and, most of all, puts up with this cute baby of the family. ;) I can't wait to get to know him better over the next forever and I'm super excited for my kids to have another uncle! Kiley
I have been taking pictures of Kiley for a few years now through the cheer team. While she didn't cheer this year, she is still very involved in other areas of school like track. She is an avid snowboarder, life-long cheer leader, track star, loves her time in the sun, and is completely adorable!
Nick
Nick is a super-jock. He plays basketball and baseball at his high school. I thought Tara and I were going to have to fight a little to get him out of his shell. I was wrong. He was such a trooper from the beginning of the shoot. Plus, towards the end of his session when I asked him "Are you so done with this?" his response was, "Nah. It's not as bad as I thought it was going to be." Haha! I'll take that as a win!
Miss Maren
At Maren's shoot we had awesome weather. The light was beautiful. There was no rain (which was a struggle ALL season!). But the mosquitos.... oh the mosquitos! They were out by the thousands and they thought we were all so tasty! We actually had to leave part of the location to avoid being completely devoured. I may or may not have had to edit out a few bugs.
Jake
Jake was really fun to take pictures of! We had his own location in mind. (LOVE that!) It was a location that I couldn't have gotten my hands on without him which made it even better! He recently completed his training to be a pilot and totally nailed his test! Congratulations, Jake! And thanks for taking us to Peak Aviation! They were MORE than accommodating! (And now my girls think they can fly a plane thanks to our location hunting pre-shoot!)
Cute Helena
I LOVED having Helena as one of my Senior Spokesmodels this year. She is a seriously funny girl who is very well rounded. I admire her a lot and would be beyond thrilled if my girls turned out like her. CU Boulder is lucky to get this beautiful smarty pants.
Meet Chelsie (again)
Chelsie is absolutely darling. I have been taking pictures of her through her Varsity Cheer team for a few years now and it's been so fun. When she was a freshman she came to Addilyn's 5th birthday party with two other cheerleaders and taught the girls some cheers. I've loved getting to know her this year. She is so dang sweet... which she clearly gets from her mama. I'm so grateful I got to take her senior pictures AND that she was one of my Senior Spokesmodels this year.
